Sarah Hudson was born and brought up in Cornwall. On completion of her foundation course at Cheltenham, she went on to study at Camberwell College of Art. Sarah now lives in Kent, working out of her studio overlooking her garden. But a childhood spent rock-pooling and mackerel fishing has instilled a lifelong love of the sea and her main inspiration still seems to be anything fishy!
Sarah enjoys the simplicity and directness of linoprints, working mainly in black and white, loving the boldness of the images created. Occasionally however, some colour creeps in - either hand touching prints with artists' inks or adding elements of collage.
Sarah likes the fact that no two prints are the same and that "you're never quite sure how it's going to work out until you've lifted the paper" - her humorous images will definitely bring a smile to your face.
